230322 Stoa und Epikureismus in der lateinischen Schullektüre (S) (WiSe 2019/2020)

Stoa und Epikureismus sind die hellenistischen Philosophenschulen, die in der römischen Literatur der klassischen Latinität prominent vertreten sind. Zu den Hauptquellen zählen Werke von Cicero und Seneca sowie Lukrez. Aber auch Catull, Vergil und Horaz vermitteln deren Lehren. Mitunter sind dies gewichtige Gründe, warum beide philosophischen Denkrichtungen verpflichtender Bestandteil der Oberstufenlektüre sind. Im Seminar soll - ausgehend von einem Überblick über die beiden Schulen - mit Hilfe von Auszügen diverser Werke o.g. Autoren erörtert werden, inwiefern SchülerInnen ein sinnvoller Zugang zu schulisch relevanten Themen inhaltlich wie methodisch ermöglicht werden kann. Hierzu sollen die Studierenden zentrale Passagen der entsprechenden Werke so erarbeiten, dass sie im Unterricht umgesetzt werden können.
