Der Begriff eLearning (analog: E-Learning) ist in der Diskussion um die zukünftige Gestaltung der Lehre und Weiterbildung von zentraler Bedeutung. Auch wenn die anfängliche Euphorie der Gründerjahre der eher nüchternen Betrachtung der Möglichkeiten von multimedial aufbereiteten Lerneinheiten gewichen ist, so ist eLearning – generell das Lernen am und mit dem Computer – in seinen vielfältigen Ausprägungen ein wichtiger Bestandteil des universitären und industriellen Ausbildungsbereichs und ein zukunftsträchtiger Markt.
In diesem Seminar werden wir uns dem Begriff in mehrfacher Hinsicht nähern: es geht um konkrete Grundvoraussetzungen für die Konzeption von eLearning-Angeboten (Strukturierung von Inhalten, Metadaten, eLearning-Standards), aber auch um die konkrete Anwendung und Beurteilung (Einsatz von eLearning-Plattformen). Einen großen Anteil der Seminarzeit nimmt der praxisbezogene Teil ein, in dem vorhandene eLearning-Materialien, -Werkzeuge und -Projekte untersucht und eigene erstellt werden.

Für den Erwerb eines Leistungsnachweises ist neben der aktiven Mitarbeit die Erstellung einer Projektarbeit erforderlich. Diese kann entweder durch Erstellung eines kleineren eLearning-Moduls oder einer Programmieraufgabe (Erweiterung/Adaption bestehender Werkzeuge) erfolgen. Weitere Arbeitsinhalte sind nach Absprache ebenfalls möglich.
