Schwerpunkte dieser Vorlesung sind Symmetriegruppen, endlich erzeugte Gruppen und Ringtheorie. Im Einzelnen werden behandelt:
- Gruppen, Ringe, Körper
- Ringtheorie, Teilbarkeit, Polynomringe
- Gruppen mit Erzeugern und Relationen
- Polyeder und Polytope
- Symmetriegruppen, Coxetergruppen, reguläre Polytope

- Zählen und Zahlbereiche
- Funktionen (nur Bachelor Didaktik Mathe Kernfach)
