Thema: Randwertprobleme und invariante Mannigfaltigkeiten

Im Seminar wird die numerische Loesung von Randwertproblemen in einer Raumdimension besprochen (Schiessverfahren, Galerkinverfahren, Stabilitaet und Konvergenz).
Im zweiten Teil behandeln wir eine Methode, um invariante Mannigfaltigkeiten von Gleichgewichten zu berechnen.
Dabei sind im wesentlichen Randwertprobleme auf der halbunendlichen Zeitachse zu loesen.

Vorausgesetzt werden Kenntnisse aus einer der Vorlesungen Numerik I und gewoehnliche Differentialgleichungen.
Dieses Seminar kann als Bachelorseminar gewahlt und im Anschluss daran eine Bachelorarbeit geschrieben werden.
