230318 Die Sprachenlandschaft Nordeuropas (S) (SoSe 2010)

Obwohl der Norden Europas vergleichsweise dünn besiedelt ist, bietet er einen erstaunlich reichen und lebendigen sprachlichen Mikrokosmos, der es erlaubt, unterschiedlichste sprachrelevante Fragestellungen exemplarisch zu bearbeiten. Ziel des Kurses ist es, die Sprachen des Nordens im Überblick vorzustellen und unter verschiedenen weiterführenden Gesichtspunkten einzuordnen. Geplant sind folgende inhaltliche Schwerpunkte:
• die typologische Vielfalt der Sprachlandschaft im Norden, von den festlandskandinavischen Sprachen Schwedisch, Dänisch und Norwegisch sowie den inselskandinavischen Sprachen Isländisch und Färöisch bis hin zum Finnischen, Samischen und Grönländischen;
• Voraussetzungen und Ergebnisse des Sprachkontakts zwischen den Sprachen des Nordens und ihren linguistischen Nachbarn;
• die Situation sprachlicher Minderheiten in Nordeuropa;
• innernordische Sprachpolitik und Sprachpflege;
• bildungspolitische Aspekte der innernordischen Kommunikation und des Spracherhalts.
