Dieses Seminar hat einführenden Charakter und soll einen Einblick in empirische Forschungsbefunde zur Kinderarmut in Deutschland und anderen Ländern eröffnen. Darüber hinaus geht es um Definitionsfragen und um theoretische Ansätze im Feld von Erziehungswissenschaft, Kinderpolitik und Sozialpolitik. Vorgestellt und diskutiert werden außerdem unterschiedliche pädagogische Modelle. Für die aktive Teilnahme werden Seminaraufgaben, von denen im Laufe des Semesters zwei bearbeitet werden müssen, gestellt.
