In Form eines kleinen Projekts können die Studierenden an aktueller Forschung im Bereich der Neurobiologie mitwirken oder grundlegende Experimente und Analysen weitgehend eigenständig durchführen.

Die Grundthematik der Projekte liegt im Bereich der Verarbeitung von visueller Information durch das Insektengehirn. Mit einfachen elektrophysiologischen Experimenten und der anschliessenden Analyse der Messdaten werden Aspekte der neuronalen Verarbeitung visueller Reize untersucht.
