The motivation of this project is the perceived annoyance being in a room with a Pepper robot while in its standard autonomous life mode. The goal is to systematically understand what is wrong with the current behavior and to improve it significantly. The Methods comprise human-robot interaction studies with Pepper and non-expert users, as well as a modification or re-implementation of the components of the autonomous life behavior. Students can use an existing basis from the RoboCup System and link to ROS.
Please note that the teams will be selected by the supervisors on the basis of short applications that students are expected to send to them. Registering to the project in the ekVV will only be regarded as expression of interest; it will not secure a team membership. Please get in touch with the supervisors for information on the application procedure.
