Unter dem Begriff der Inklusion versammeln sich gegenwärtig "die größten moralisch-politischen Ansprüche und die höchsten pädagogischen Versprechen" (Heinz-Elmar Tenorth). Inklusion wird als universales Menschenrecht verstanden. Tradierte Ungerechtigkeiten und Benachteiligungen einzelner Menschengruppen sollen in einer inklusiven Schule überwunden werden. Der Religionsunterricht ist prädestiniert dafür, Kinder mit unterschiedlichen individuellen Besonderheiten zu fördern. Die begrüßenswerte Vielfalt der Anerkennung basiert auf biblischer Anthropologie (1.Mose 1, 27; Gal 3,28 und 1. Kor 12,12ff.). Die bildungspolitische Umsetzung der inklusiven Schule stellt auch die Religionspädagogik vor neue Herausforderungen. In diesem Seminar sollen Kontexte und Voraussetzungen der inklusiven Religionspädagogik erarbeitet werden. Haltungen und Werte zu Inklusion und Exklusion stehen zur kritischen Diskussion. Abschließen wird das Seminar mit Methodik und Didaktik des inklusiven Religionsunterrichts und mit der kritischen Sichtung von Religionsschulbüchern.
