Contents, comment

This class will introduce you to language variation in the British Isles. We will concentrate on the social contexts of both historical and contemporary variation, which includes established regional dialects, e.g. Irish English, but also current urban vernaculars. For your Studienleistung, you will have to complete and present a small-scale research project.
