230227 Der 'Willehalm' Wolframs von Eschenbach (S) (SoSe 2019)

Der zu Beginn des 13. Jahrhunderts entstandene "Willehalm" Wolframs von Eschenbach wird zur Kreuzzugsdichtung gezählt – und doch lässt er sich nicht auf die Beschreibung einer Auseinandersetzung zwischen der christlichen und muslimischen Kultur reduzieren. Vielmehr wirft Wolframs Werk durch die Darstellung der Figuren jenseits der mittelalterlichen Stereotype von Christen und Heiden die Frage auf, ob es zwischen Menschen überhaupt einen gerechten Krieg geben kann.

Das Seminar widmet sich in einem erzähltheoretischen Teil den Verfahren, die zur Sympathiesteuerung eingesetzt werden, zudem werden zentrale Aspekte der „Willehalm“-Forschung thematisiert.
