Das Seminar bietet eine Einführung in die medienübergreifende Erzähltheorie, mit einem erweiterten Blick auf die ästhetische, soziokulturelle und ökonomische Relevanz narrativer Darstellungen. Ziel ist hierbei insbesondere die Herausstellung des Spannungsfeldes bestimmter prototypischer Strategien narrativer Repräsentation und der konkreten Realisierung in konventionell als unterschiedlich wahrgenommenen Einzelmedien.
Nach einführenden theoretischen Begriffbestimmungen wollen wir uns exemplarisch verschiedenen Einzelmedien (Literatur, Filmen, digitalen und analogen Spielen, Comics/Bilderbüchern) analytisch nähern.Das Seminar ist als schreibintensive Lehrveranstaltung konzipiert, die Gelegenheit bieten wird, im Laufe des Semesters erste Vorarbeiten für eine (Modul-)Abschlussarbeit zu erledigen.
Die fristgerechte Abgabe der damit in Verbindung stehenden Aufgaben ist Voraussetzung für die erfolgreiche Teilnahme am Seminar und wird als Studienleistung angerechnet.

Kenntnisse grundlegender Begrifflichkeiten der Erzähltheorie werden dringend empfohlen. Zur Einführung eignen sich:
