Soziale Medien wie Instagram oder Snapchat gehören heute für viele Jugendliche zum Alltag und werden unter anderem als Plattform für Selbstdarstellung oder den Austausch mit Peers genutzt. Neben dem Nutzungsverhalten von Jugendlichen soll das Seminar vor allem die Funktionen und die entwicklungspsychologische Bedeutung von sozialen Medien thematisieren. Welche Chancen und Risiken bietet die Nutzung sozialer Medien? Was sollten Jugendliche und Eltern beachten?

Bereitschaft, sich mit empirischen Fachartikeln in englischer Sprache auseinanderzusetzen. Besondere Vorkenntnisse sind nicht notwendig. Das Seminar richtet sich an Haupt- und Nebenfachstudierende der Psychologie (vorgesehen ab dem 3. Fachsemester) sowie an Studierende der Klinischen Linguistik. Eine zentrale Vergabe der Plätze für alle Seminare des J3-Moduls findet in der ersten Vorlesungswoche statt. Der Termin wird noch bekannt gegeben. Die Teilnahme an dieser Vergabesitzung ist obligatorisch.

Eine Studienleistung wird im Rahmen des Seminars durch die Bearbeitung eines Themenbereichs und Vorstellung des Themas, sowie eine regelmäßige und aktive Teilnahme erworben. Eine benotete Einzelleistung kann durch die zusätzliche schriftliche Ausarbeitung eines Seminarthemas erbracht werden (ca. 5 Seiten; Abgabe: 01.03.2019; Absprache mit der Dozentin)
