Mit dem gesamten gewerblichen Rechtsschutz behandelt die Vorlesung bedeutende Teile des privaten Wirtschaftsrechts. Zum einen geht es um den Schutz des Wettbewerbs - des Grundprinzips der Wirtschaftsordnung - vor unlauterem Verhalten und vor Beschränkungen, zum anderen um den Schutz immaterieller Rechtsgüter im Wirtschaftsleben: Erfindungen, ästhetische Gestaltungen und Kennzeichen. Über die heute weithin vom europäischen Recht geprägten Materien soll ein systematischer Überblick gegeben werden; zentrale Fragen sollen an Hand von Fällen der Rechtsprechung verdeutlicht werden.
