This course is designed primarily to help students of psychology deal with the very difficult texts they have to read for their major. Using a mix of materials from different sources (academic journals, English textbooks for psychology, Internet texts), students will train a set of reading and lexical strategies, practice their listening and speaking skills on the basis of audio or video materials, and hone their writing skills through Wiki-style text entries on relevant questions as well as through the preparation of a summary or abstract, if desired.
