Im Zusammenhang mit der kulturwissenschaftlichen Wende haben sich auch die Modelle der Vergegenwärtigung des Vergangenen verändert. An die Stelle ‚der Geschichte’ („wie es eigentlich gewesen ist“) sind Konzepte des kollektiven, sozialen oder kulturellen Gedächtnisses („wie und von wem wird etwas erinnert“) getreten. Was hat es mit diesem Paradigmenwechsel auf sich? Worin unterscheiden sich die verschiedenen Ansätze? Welche Folgen ergeben sich aus diesem Theorieaustausch für die Literatur und für die Literaturwissenschaft?
