Whether or not there is a duty to obey the law is one of the most fundamental and also one of the most interesting questions in political philosophy. But it is also a question of substantial interest for legal philosophy or the philosophy of law. For philosophical anarchism – the view that there is no duty to obey the law – not only undermines the justificatory project of the political philosopher but also endangers what philosophers of law take for granted, viz. that valid laws at least have binding force.
The seminar will be in English, but you are not expected to speak English nearly perfect. The seminar is rather designed to give you the opportunity to learn to discuss philosophical stuff in
English.

Voraussetzung für die Vergabe von 2 Leistungspunkten (BA- und MA ed.-Studiengang) ist die regelmäßige und aktive Teilnahme sowie das Erbringen des schriftlichen oder mündlichen Beitrags im Umfang von maximal 1200 Wörtern für das Modulportfolio, auf dem die unbenotete Moduleinzelleitung beruht. Die Anforderungen für den Modulportfolio-Beitrag werden zu Veranstaltungsbeginn bekannt gegeben.
Im Masterstudiengang erfolgt der Erwerb von Leistungspunkten ausschließlich auf Modulebene.
