An der Schnittstelle von Philosophie des Geistes und Philosophie der Biologie stehen Fragen nach unserem Verständnis von Kognition unter dem Gesichtspunkt der evolutionären Entstehung kognitiver Fähigkeiten. Im Seminar werden Themenfelder wie Primatenkognition, Sprachentstehung, soziale Kognition, Adaptationismus, Nischenkonstruktion und Modularität zur Sprache kommen.

Voraussetzung für die Vergabe von 2 Leistungspunkten (BA- und MA ed.-Studiengang) ist die regelmäßige und aktive Teilnahme sowie das Erbringen des schriftlichen oder mündlichen Beitrags im Umfang von maximal 1200 Wörtern für das Modulportfolio, auf dem die unbenotete Moduleinzelleitung beruht. Die Anforderungen für den Modulportfolio-Beitrag werden zu Veranstaltungsbeginn bekannt gegeben.
Im Masterstudiengang erfolgt der Erwerb von Leistungspunkten ausschließlich auf Modulebene.
