Im Kolloquium werden aktuelle Forschungsarbeiten aus dem Bereich der Sozialpsychologie vorgestellt und diskutiert. Studierende und DoktorandInnen präsentieren Aspekte ihrer Abschlussarbeit; außerdem finden Gastvorträge externer WissenschaftlerInnen und Präsentationen der Mitglieder der Arbeitseinheit Sozialpsychologie statt. Studierenden des auslaufenden Diplomstudiengangs im Hauptstudium bietet das Kolloquium einen Einblick in aktuelle sozialpsychologische Forschung. Es kann auch bei der Themenfindung für eine Abschlussarbeit helfen.
Die Veranstaltung wird empfohlen für Studierende des Diplomstudiengangs Psychologie im Hauptstudium, insbesondere Studierende, die planen, eine Diplomarbeit in Sozialpsychologie zu schreiben und / oder die Prüfung im Fach "Forschungsorientierte Vertiefung: Sozialpsychologie" abzulegen. Von DiplomarbeitskandidatInnen wird während der Zeit ihrer Betreuung die regelmäßige Teilnahme erwartet.
Bachelorstudierende im BSc Psychologie, die ihre Abschlußarbeit in Sozialpsychologie schreiben, sind verpflichtet, ihr Exposé im Kolloquium vorzustellen. Ebenso wird während er Zeit ihrer Betreuung die regelmäßige Teilnahme an der Veranstaltung erwartet.

Für die Vorstellung des Exposés der BSc-Arbeit und regelmäßige Teilnahme werden 2 LP vergeben.
