Roma aeterna - Rom ist ewig. Viele Schriftsteller - antike und moderne - befassen sich mit der Stadt Rom: mal aus der Perspektive des Einheimischen, mal aus der Perspektive des Fremden. Es werden Wünsche und Sehnsüchte projieziert, Enttäuschung und Bewunderung ausgedrückt, idealisiert propagandasiert.
In diesem Seminar wollen wir Texte aus verschiedenen Epochen und Ländern entdecken, die Rom als Stadt, als Erinnerungsort oder als Sehnsuchtsort thematisieren.
Zudem sollen einige Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt vorgestellt werden.
