This course is mandatory for all students planning to start their Praxissemester in September 2018. In this course, we will review and discuss the basics of Action Research with a particular focus on the specific questions that can be researched in the EFL classroom. We will do this with a special focus on inclusive teaching, which means that we will discuss the concept of "Inclusion", review selected approaches to inclusive teaching, and develop research questions for this area. During the course, we will work on one draft project, which can serve as a first plan for your actual research in the Praxissemester.
Please note: In summer 2018, there are two VPS classes available in English (with the second taking place on Monday). However, you only need to take ONE of these! The basics of Action Research will be discussed in both, with the Monday class taking a more general approach to researching in EFL.
