Unterscheiden sich Vorurteile gegen reiche und arme Menschen voneinander?

Was und wieviel haben Nächstenliebe und Konformität miteinander zu tun?

Und, warum Bin Laden zum Zeitpunkt seiner Erschießung bereits tot war und dennoch noch am Leben ist.

In diesem Seminar werden verschiedene Themen besprochen, die sich im Spannungsfeld zwischen Sozialpsychologie, Soziologie und Politikwissenschaften/politischer Psychologie bewegen. Es handelt sich dabei um Konstrukte, die den Überbau für eine Vielzahl von konkreten Einstellungen und Handlungen darstellen.
Hierzu zählen z.B.: Ideologien, Werte, ideologie-nahe Konstrukte wie z.B. soziale Dominanzorientierung oder Autoritarismus oder auch Verschwörungstheorien.

Ziel des Seminars ist es, klassische wie aktuelle Forschung zu den verschiedenen Themenbereichen miteinander zu lesen, zu diskutieren und auf aktuelle gesellschaftliche und politische Geschehnisse anzuwenden.

Dieses Seminar ist Teil des MSc Moduls 27-M-G (G.2 oder G.3) und sollte im zweiten oder dritten Semester belegt werden.

3 ECTS credits ("Studienleistung"). Erwartet werden eine regelmäßige Anwesenheit und aktive Beteiligung sowie die Anfertigung kurzer Texte als Hausaufgaben. Darüber hinaus werden alle Studieren eine der Sitzungen des Seminares leiten (dies kann – aber muss nicht – in Form einer einleitenden Präsentation mit anschließender Diskussion erfolgen).
