Class work will concentrate both on increasing students' word power, using Rowling's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which I strongly advise students to read before term starts. The other major class activity will be to analyse the Modern English vocabulary, based on A Survey of Modern English (see below for details of both books)

Place in the curriculum:
This is one of the courses in Basismodul 5 and should be done only after you have done all three courses in BM One.

Credits and Requirements:
BA-students can earn three credit points for regular, active class work; producing a satisfactory dictionary report; and passing 2 class tests.
