Ausgehend von Untersuchungen zu Medienerfahrungen von Kindern und Jugendlichen soll im Seminar erarbeitet werden, welche religionspädagogischen Chancen und Möglichkeiten im Medium Film liegen. Viele Filme ganz unterschiedlicher Richtung - Impulsfilme, Videoclips, Spielfilme ... - knüpfen an religiöse Traditionslinien an, greifen religiöse Motive auf und formen sie um. In diesem Sinne kann Religionsunterricht auch Wahrnehmungsschulung sein.
Das Seminar will durch die Erarbeitung unterschiedlicher Filme zu ausgewählten Themenfeldern des Religionsunterrichts Interesse an der Arbeit mit dem Medium Film wecken, zu medienanalytischer Arbeit anregen und methodisch-didaktische Möglichkeiten des Einsatzes von Filmen bis hin zur Eigenproduktion aufzeigen.
