Ziel, Inhalt und Gliederung der Veranstaltung:
Der Begriff "Rasse" wird im Alltag häufig benutzt, um Gruppen und Gesellschaften zu definieren und zu unterscheiden. Er soll die Zugehörigkeit zu einem Kollektiv oder - was noch bedeutungs- und folgenschwerer sein kann - die Nicht-Zugehörigkeit begründen.
In dem Seminar soll vorgestellt und diskutiert werden, wie Wissenschaft, Politik u. Öffentlichkeit mit diesem Begriff umgehen. Das besondere Interesse gilt dabei der Darstellung/Behandlung des Themas "Rasse" in Literatur, Film und Fernsehen.
