Die Veranstaltung ist semester-übergreifend geplant.
Schwerpunkte:

  • Studium u. kritische Erörterung v. Hans Günter HOLLs Total-Revision seiner Übersetzung v. Process & Reality (Prozeß u. Realität. Entwurf einer Kosmologie, Suhrkamp, Ffm. 1979, überarb. Aufl. 1984, als stw 690: 1987, zuletzt 1995). Der neue Text wird als »work in progress« sukzessive ins Netz gestellt (http://members.aol.com/hageho/main.htm), 2004 beginnend mit Inhalt, Vorwort u. Erstem Teil. Herr HOLL bittet, aufgrund des Begriffsregisters (alt / neu), der aus dem Text zusammengestellten Definitionen zentraler Konzepte u. der alten Fassung (stw 690) terminologische u. redaktionelle Änderungs-Vorschläge vorzulegen (hageho@aol.com). Die Prüfung dieser Übersetzung, in die vier Jahrzehnte Arbeit mit Whitehead-Texten eingehen, ist eine ideale Gelegenheit, Kern-Aussagen der Prozeß-Metaphysik zu explizieren und zu klären.
  • Lektüre u. Diskussion der beiden zuletzt übersetzten Werke Whiteheads: Modes of Thought (1938), dt. u. d. T. Denkweisen. Hg., übers. u. eingel. v. Stascha ROHMER, stw 1532, Ffm. 2001, 201 S., Euro 10; Symbolism. Its Meaning & Effect (1927), dt. u. d. T. Kulturelle Symbolisierung. Hg., übers. u. eingel. v. Rolf LACHMANN, stw 1497, Ffm. 2000, 146 S., Euro 8.50.
  • Vorbereitung einer Serie von interdisziplinären Kolloquien zur Aktualität Whiteheads in einzelnen Wissenschaften, z. B.: "Mathematische Grundlagen der Prozeß-Philosophie", "Raum, Zeit, Materie" (H. Weyl), "Relevanz der Prozeß-Philosophie für die moderne Biologie"; "Zeit-Strukturen im Blick auf Whitehead und neuere System-Theorien in Biologie, Psychologie, Linguistik, Soziologie" oder "Prozeß-Theologie". Realisierungen ab Februar 2005.
  • Vorstellung von Zwischenergebnissen einschlägiger Forschungs-Vorhaben.

Thematische und zeitliche Mischung, Verteilung, Erweiterung dieser Schwerpunkte und die Art ihrer Bearbeitung stehen zur Disposition der Teilnehmenden.
