Die Veranstaltung dient der Vorbereitung einer Lehrforschung in Zentralasien (PSP Entwicklungsplanung) im SoSe 2005 (Vorbereitung) und WiSe 2005/06 (Auswertung).

In der Regionalanalyse sollen die postkolonialen Charakteristika des postsozialistischen Zentralasiens (insb. Kasachstans/Usbekistans) und Grundsätze der anthropologischen und soziologischen Transformationsforschung erarbeitet werden. Von den Teilnehmern wird erwartet, sich in die Problematik der Transformation (insb. der GUS) einzuarbeiten und sich grundlegende Kenntnisse über die jüngste Geschichte und politische Situation der Region zu erarbeiten.
