In diesem Intensivkurs erarbeiten wir verschiedene Ansätze zur Maschinellen Übersetzung (MT). Wir ziehen einen Zusammenhang zu den Lerninhalten in Linguistik und Computerlinguistik und eigenen Fremdsprachen und machen Literaturrecherchen. Lernziele sind: Überblick über Ansätze zur MT, Praktische Erfahrungen mir der Evaluierung von MT, praktische Erfahrungen mit MT, Verbindung eigener Lerninhalte mit MT. Themen der Veranstaltung sind: Motivation für MT, Fragestellungen in der MT, Methoden der MT, das MT-Projekt Verbmobil, MT für Japanisch und Deutsch, MT im praktischen Einsatz und Evaluierung von MT.
