Wohl kaum ein Zusammenhang ist in den letzten Jahren so konsequent untersucht worden, wie der zwischen der sozialen Situation von Kindern und Jugendlichen und ihrem schulischen Erfolg: Sozial-benachteiligte Kinder und Jugendliche erleben auch in der Schule oftmals eine Fortführung ihrer Benachteiligungssituation. Möglichkeiten, diesen Zusammenhang zu durchbrechen, sind bislang nur wenig erfolgreich.
Im Mittelpunkt der Veranstaltung steht eine genauere Analyse dieses Zusammenhangs. Betrachtet werden sollen Ansätze und Maßnahmen, die auf eine Abschwächung abzielen. Darüber hinaus soll versucht werden, hieraus Erkenntnisse für innovative Vorgehensweisen zu entwickeln
