Die Nutzung von Internetdiensten ist inzwischen auch aus dem Arbeitsalltag von Historikern und Historikerinnen nicht mehr wegzudenken. Der Umgang mit diesem "neuen Medium" ist jedoch keineswegs so einfach und selbstverständlich, wie es beim ersten Blick auf bunte, interaktive Oberflächen erscheinen mag. Wie kann man das Internet sinnvoll im Studium und im Forschungsalltag nutzen? Neben einer knappen Einführung in wesentliche technische Grundlagen sollen in der Übung die Chancen und Probleme einer Arbeit mit dem Internet ausgelotet, verschiedene Einsatzmöglichkeiten kritisch diskutiert und über aktuelle Projekte informiert werden.
