Die Künstlerkolonie Worpswede (gegründet 1889) soll im Blick auf Künstlerpaare (u.a. Paula Modersohn-Becker und Otto Modersohn, Martha und Heinrich Vogeler) analysiert werden. Dabei sind auch Vergleichsbeispiele wie das Künstlerpaar Charlotte Berend und Lovis Corinth einzubeziehen. Frageperspektiven für die Analyse der Paarbiographien kann die von Renate Berger herausgegebene Textsammlung "Liebe, Macht, Kunst" (Köln 2000) liefern.
