Der Genetik-Club ist eine Veranstaltungsreihe, die Studierenden mit Interesse an Fragen der Genetik, ihren Er-kenntnissen und ihrem gesellschaftlichen Kontext offen steht. Von den Teilnehmern wird erwartet, dass sie sich aktiv an der Planung und Durchführung der Clubtreffen beteiligen. Aktivitäten des Clubs könnten sein:
- Präsentation genetischer Befunde und gentechnischer Verfahren
- Diskussion staatlicher Regulierung der Gentechnik in Deutschland und Europa
- Organisation von genetischen Kolloquien mit auswärtigen Gästen
- Besuch von interessanten Diskussionsveranstaltungen und Tagungen
- Besuch von Biotechnologie- und Züchterfirmen
