Der vierte und letzte Teil der Überblicksvorlesung über die Entwicklung der Philosophie umfasst den Zeitraum des 20. Jahrhunderts, wobei neben den Wechselbeziehungen von Philosophie und Theologie die folgenden Themenbereiche im Mittelpunkt der Darstellung stehen:
Lebensphilosophie und Historismus;
Phänomenologie, Existenzphilosophie und Existentialismus;
Neomarxismus;
Der "lingustic turn" in der Philosophie;
Strukturalismus und Konstruktivismus;
Theorien der Moderne und Postmoderne.
Zu den einzelnen Vorlesungen wird die aktuelle Literatur vom Dozenten bereitgestellt. Die Hörer der Vorlesung sind gehalten, sich mit einem oder mehreren der folgenden Werke zum Vorlesungsstoff vertraut zu machen.
Hinsichtlich des Erwerbs eines Hörerscheins wird eine Teilnehmerliste geführt.
