Das Seminar gibt im ersten Teil eine Einführung in aktuelle Entwicklungen der Migrations- und Jugendforschung die mit Fragen der Milieu- und Lebensstilforschung verknüpft werden. Im zweiten Teil des Seminars werden eigene empirische Untersuchungen zur Frage von Lebensstilen von deutschen, türkischen und Aussiedler-Jugendlichen durchgeführt. Ziel des Seminars ist, eine Ausdifferenzierung von Jugendkulturen in unterschiedlichen ethnischen Kontexten auszuloten.
