Die Veranstaltung verfolgt das Ziel, in die Pädagogische Psychologie einzuführen und die Studierenden mit methodischen Grundlagen vertraut zu machen. Im Seminar sollen 12 Themengebiete behandelt werden, die drei Forschungfeldern (Lehren und Lernen, Persönlichkeitsentwicklung und Erziehung; Beratung und Intervention) zugeordnet werden können. Zu jedem Thema sollen theoretische Ansätze, empirische Befunde und praktische Implikationen vorgestellt werden. Eine tiefergehende Auseinandersetzung mit ausgewählten Fragestellungen findet im Begleitseminar statt, in dem mit Unterstützung von Tutoren kleinere empirische Studien durchgeführt werden sollen.
