Das Seminar soll an ausgewählten Beispielen aufzeigen, welche Motive, Formen und Möglichkeiten des Widerstands der Unterworfenen es gegen die römische Weltherrschaft gab. Der Blick richtet sich auf den griechischen, jüdischen, nordafrikanischen und germanisch-gallischen Raum. Auch die Varusschlacht wird auf diese Weise in einen größeren historischen Kontext eingeordnet. Lateinkenntnisse werden vorausgesetzt, Griechischkenntnisse sind erwünscht, aber nicht obligatorisch.
Die Seminarsitzungen der beiden _letzten Semesterwochen (13.7.-24.7.)_
werden in einer _Blockveranstaltung voraussichtlich am 4.6._ abgehalten
