Bei der Verarbeitung naturwissenschaftlicher Daten liegen oft
experimentelle Ergebnisse in Form sogenannter Multi-Parameter Bilder
oder Mehrkanalbilder vor (Satellitenbilder, MRI). Ein zentrales Problem bei
der Auswertung dieser Bilder ist deren Segmentierung und besonders deren Visualisierung, da eine direkte Exploration der Daten nicht bzw. kaum möglich ist.In dem Projektseminar wird dieses Problem am Beispiel von
7-dimensionalen Volumendatensaetzen aus der Brustkrebsforschung
behandelt. Hier sollen in Kleingruppen die Datensätze in verschiedene Gewebetypen segmentiert und anschließend visualisiert werden. Dabei wird die Entwicklungsumgebung NEO/NST der AG Neuroinformatik eingesetzt. Am Ende des Projektseminars soll ein Prototyp eines Analysesystems für des behandelten Datensatz stehen.
