Dass das Christentum die einzige Religion sei, in der Gottesliebe und tätige Nächstenliebe zusammen gesehen werden müssen, gehört zu den Vorurteilen bedeutender protestantischer Diakoniker des 19. Jahrhunderts, die bis heute nicht ganz überwunden sind.
Ziel des Seminars ist es, christlichen und außerchristlichen religiösen Begründungen für tätige Nächstenliebe nachzugehen und ihre praktischen Folgen in Betracht zu ziehen.
