Das Seminar wird sich mit ausgewählten Themen, den methodischen Ausrichtungen und der Struktur "der" Geschichtswissenschaft in der NS-Zeit und der frühen Bundesrepublik bis ca. 1960 beschäftigen. In den Blick genommen werden dabei verschiedene Fachbereiche der Zunft sowie einzelne Forscherpersönlichkeiten. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Untersuchung von inhaltlichen, methodischen und biographischen Kontinuitäten oder Brüchen nach 1945 sowie der Historiographie zur Geschichtswissenschaft im NS und der frühen BRD.
