Gibt es eine von unserem Denken, Erkennen und unserer Sprache unabhängige Wirklichkeit? Und welche Rolle spielt der Alltags-Realismus dabei? Derartige Fragen bestimmen die generelle Debatte um Realismus, Skeptizismus und Bezugnahme. Die spezielle Fragestellung des wissenschaftlichen Realismus beruht darüber hinaus auf der Annahme, dass die theoretischen, nicht direkt mit Beobachtungen verbundenen Terme unserer reifsten wissenschaftlichen Theorien auf Entitäten in der Welt referieren. Im Seminar soll den Grundlagen, Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschieden beider Fragestellungen und den mit ihnen verbundenen Realismus-Antirealismus-Debatten nachgegangen werden.
Grundlage für die Vergabe von Leistungspunkten (BA-, MA of Education- und HPSS-Studiengang) sind Referate und Essays.
Im Masterstudiengang erfolgt der Erwerb von Leistungspunkten ausschließlich auf Modulebene.

Diese Veranstaltung richtet sich in erster Linie an Masterstudierende im Fach Philosophie. BA-Studierende der Philosophie oder andere Studierende können nach persönlicher und rechtzeitiger Rücksprache mit dem Veranstalter zugelassen werden. Im Bedarfsfall kann die Veranstaltung (mit 3 LP) für ein BA-Hauptmodul angerechnet werden.
