Contents, comment

Ein guter Philosoph zeichnet sich u. a. dadurch aus, seine Argumente in schriftlicher Form klar und präzise darlegen zu können. Das Seminar bietet den Teilnehmern daher die Gelegenheit, das Verfassen eigenständiger Texte zu üben. Im Laufe des Semesters sollen drei Essays im Umfang von drei bis vier Seiten verfasst werden. Jedes abgegebene Essay wird individuell oder – nach Absprache – in Kleingruppen ausführlich besprochen.
Den inhaltlichen Bezugsrahmen der Veranstaltung bilden grundlegende Probleme der Politischen Philosophie. Im Seminar sollen an Hand kurzer Texte oder Textauszüge wichtige Fragestellungen beispielhaft diskutiert werden. Mögliche Themen für ein Essay sind z. B. die Legitimation staatlicher Herrschaft, das Recht der Bürger auf Widerstand, die Forderung nach sozialer Gerechtigkeit oder das Verhältnis von Recht und Moral. Zu ausgewählten Themenbereichen werden den Teilnehmern Literaturempfehlungen zur Verfügung gestellt.

Die Grundlage für die Vergabe von Leistungspunkten (BA- und MA of Education-Studiengang) wird zu Beginn des Semesters bekannt gegeben.
