Das Seminar dient zur Vorbereitung, Begleitung und Reflexion des Praktikums im Hauptstudium für alle Studierenden, die ihr Praktikum in den Bereichen Migrationspädagogik und Kulturarbeit absolvieren. Abhängig von den Bedürfnissen der TeilnehmerInnen werden unterschiedliche Praxisfelder thematisiert und die Anforderungen an professionelles Handeln im jeweiligen Praxisfeld konkretisiert. Hierfür sollen zum einen professionstheoretische und migrationspädagogische Grundlagentexte bearbeitet werden, um das Verhältnis von Theorie und Praxis, zentrale pädagogische Handlungsparadoxien, pädagogische Problem- und Fremdheitskonstruktionen und asymmetrische Machtbeziehungen im Verhältnis von Mehr- und Minderheit auf theoretischer Ebene zu beleuchten. Zum anderen werden die pädagogisch-praktischen Erfahrungen der TeilnehmerInnen am Beispiel von konkreten Fällen aus dem Praktikum gemeinsam diskutiert und reflektiert. Weiter sollen Fragen zu möglichen Formen und Inhalten von Praktikumsberichten geklärt werden. Das Seminar soll die zeitlichen Rahmenbedingungen der TeilnehmerInnen berücksichtigen: Falls sich der angegebene Termin für die Mehrheit der TeilnehmerInnen als ungünstig erweist, kann das Seminar auch in Blockform an Wochenenden stattfinden.
