Aufbauend auf den im ersten Teil der Vorlesung erarbeiteten Grundlagen des Magnetismus soll nun der Magnetismus dünner Schichten genauer behandelt werden (Wechselwirkungen zwischen mehreren dünnen magnetischen Schichten, Magnetismus in sehr kleinen Strukturen, etc.). Außerdem sollen Beispiele für technologische Anwendungen (z.B. Datenspeicherung und Sensorik) diskutiert werden.
