In diesem Seminar sollen zentrale Themen der kognitiven Entwicklung erarbeitet werden. Dazu gehören zum Beispiel: die Erinnerungen Neugeborener, Aufmerksamkeitsprozesse in der frühen Kindheit, die Entwicklung des schlussfolgernden Denkens, des Problemlösens, des begrifflichen Denkens und des kausalen Denkens.
Weiterhin soll die Entwicklung des Gedächtnisses bzw. der unterschiedlichen Gedächtnissysteme sowie Piagets Theorie der Entwicklung des logischen Denkens besprochen werden.
