Die Veranstaltung begleitet in vier Sitzungen (Freitag, 15-17 Uhr) das im Februar stattfindende vierwöchige Blockpraktikum. Die Bewerbungen für außerschulische Praktikumsplätze nehmen die Studierenden selbständig vor. Die Abteilung unterstützt die Suche nach einem Praktikumsplatz mit einer Liste möglicher Praktikumsanbieter, eine eigenständige Suche nach einem Praktikumsplatz ist aber möglich bzw. ausdrücklich erwünscht. Eine vorherige Absprache der Kriterien für einen eigenständig gesuchten Praktikumsplatz erfolgt in den Sprechstunden ( Di. 11.00-12.00) zu Beginn des Semesters bzw. in den Feriensprechstunden.
Für eine begrenzte Anzahl von Teilnehmer*innen besteht die Möglichkeit, das Praktikum am Oberstufenkolleg Bielefeld in Form eines Projektes für den Anfangsunterricht Philosophie abzulegen. Die Absprache dafür erfolgt ebenfalls in den Sprechstunden.
