"Die Tribute von Panem", "Divergent", "Selection" und Co sind aktuelle Romane, deren Figuren in düsteren und unterdrückten Gesellschaften leben. In den Romanen geht es um die Tötung von Kindern, um brutale Gewalt und politische Systeme. Trotz (oder gerade wegen?) dieser Themen sind es vorrangig Jugendliche, die diese Geschichten rezipieren und auch die Verfilmungen sind für ein junges Publikum konzipiert (FSK ab 12 Jahre). In dem Seminar werden wir uns mit den Inhalten verschiedener Romane und deren Filmadaptionen auseinandersetzen. Dabei werden wir analysieren, welche (erziehungswissenschaftlich relevanten) Themen und Fragestellungen in diesem Genre der "young adult dystopia" zu finden sind und vor welchen Chancen und Herausforderungen Jugendliche bei der Rezeption gestellt werden. Dabei werden wir uns auch mit möglichen Einsatzmöglichkeiten im Unterricht und in außerschulischen Kontexten auseinandersetzen.

Anteilig werden Texte in englischer Sprache bearbeitet. Die entsprechenden Sprachkenntnisse werden vorausgesetzt.
