Kenntnisse in der Beschaffung elektronischer Fachinformation gehören zu den notwendigen Fertigkeiten eines Chemikers. Dieser Schulungskurs führt in Theorie und Praxis in die Nutzung von elektronischer Fachinformation durch online-Recherche in chemischen Datenbanken ein. Es werden Aufbau/Struktur der Datenbanken, die Retrievalsprache Messenger, Suchstrategien und insbesondere die Nutzung von Substanz-, Eigenschafts-, Reaktions-, Spektren- und Patentdatenbanken vorgestellt und online-Übungen vertieft.
Online-Übungen werden an Demo-Datenbanken bei STN-Karlsruhe durchgeführt Zugriff auf Chemical Abstracts wird nur während eines eintägigen Kurses möglich sein.
Der Schwerpunkt wird auf der Einweisung zur Benutzung der inhouse-Datenbank Beilstein X-Fire liegen
Folgende Kurse sind geplant:

  • Allg. Grundlagen/ Messenger/ STN-Express
  • Beilstein inhouse
  • Grundlagen von Spektroskopie Datenbanken (SpecInfo, ACD)
  • Chemical Abstracts
  • Einführung Patentdatenbanken

Die Teilnahme wird bescheinigt.
