Ziel des Seminars ist Darstellung, Diskussion und Reflexion der gesellschaftstheoretischen Grundlagen globaler Gouvernanzregimes (global governance). Teil 1 behandelt Grundlagen der Regimetheorie und steuerungstheoretische Implikationen der Herausbildung von Formen der global governance. Teil 2 wendet sich konkreten Fällen globalisierter Funktionssysteme und globaler Steuerungsinstitutionen zu (WTO, Basler Ausschuss). In Teil 3 geht es um eine soziologische Reflexion des Zusammenspiels von Weltgesellschaft und konkreter Institutionen globaler Gouvernanz.
