Für gewöhnlich wird vorausgesetzt, daß die Massenmedien eine (politische) Wirklichkeit, die unabhängig von ihnen konstituiert ist, lediglich zurückspiegeln, für nicht Beteiligte sichtbar machen und im Zweifelsfall auch inszenieren, wenn nicht manipulieren. Es wird eine Unter-scheidung zu Grunde gelegt, die zwischen ?wirklicher Wirklichkeit' und ?fiktiver Wirklich-keit' differenziert. In der Veranstaltung soll die Problematik dieser Unterscheidung erarbeitet werden. Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es, darauf aufbauend, die ?Wirklichkeit der Medien' zu untersuchen, insofern es um deren eigene, innere Wirklichkeit geht und die ?Wirklichkeit der Medien' zu untersuchen, insofern es um die Wirklichkeit geht, die von den Medien erzeugt (und nicht etwa nur wiedergegeben ) wird.
