Im zweiten Teil der sozialpsychologischen Vorlesung wird ein Überblick über Theorien und Befunde des Forschungsgebiets Sozialpsychologie gegeben. Dabei werden allgemeine psychologische Grundlagen dieses Faches einschließlich seiner methodologischen Besonderheiten (vor allem der experimentellen Methodologie) aus der Vorlesung I zugrundegelegt.
Als einführende deutschsprachige Literatur können neben dem UTB-Taschenbuch Nr. 600 (Einführung in die Sozialpsychologie, 3. Aufl,) dienen: der dreibändige Reader von D. Frey & M. Irle, Theorien der Sozialpsychologie, Bern: Huber, ferner die Lehrbücher von W. Herkner (Lehrbuch Sozialpsychologie, Bern: Huber) und H.W. Bierhoff (Sozialpsychologie, Stuttgart: Kohlhammer, 5.Aufl.) sowie der von Stroebe, Hewstone et al. herausgegebene Sammelband (Sozialpsychologie, Berlin: Springer).
